Help Support This Date In History

Astrology This Date In History Promotional ImageNew Site Coming Soon

This Date In History is enjoying terrific feedback, and I am having a great time writing it. I almost have the whole coming year planned out for it, and I’m excited for each and every one of the articles coming your way. As always, subjects cover a wide spectrum of personalities drawn from the arts, politics, and (occasionally) sports, dating from the late 18th century to present.

New entries are tagged for their specific astrological features, so the more I add, the greater the variety for examples of things like planetary retrogrades or specific planetary sign placements and aspects. Every new entry offers another drop in the bucket toward understanding the workings of astrology. In the long run, the work will provide a valuable resource for any level of astrology student. Think of it as an organic astrology transit cookbook, one that increases in depth and value as the content accumulates.

I am in the process of revamping my website, to make the presentation of TDIH more practical and appealing. The chart images will be customized to highlight whatever planets and aspects are being discussed, and I will list and link sources for data used in each piece. This is all coming your way soon, as soon as my web master is done mastering my web.

Passing the Hat Around

Which brings me to my point: I originally wrote the column for astrology.com, a commercial site that paid me to do it, until last February, when NBC/Universal sold the domain and the site changed hands. I am now handling the cost, but I could use a hand from anybody with the interest and means for contributing. The less I need to spend time hunting a dollar, the more I can spend focused on making TDIH the best it can be. I am presently in the most expensive stage of this process, as my web development costs come in.

Here is a chance to have daily astrological content that is something other than a Sun sign column or a daily transit report. Valuable as those formats can be, there are many out there, and little else offering this level of information. TDIH is more interesting to astrology students than it is to your average muggle, so it does not possess the same promotional potential for a consulting astrologer that your standard columns do. I am not doing it for the money, although I need money to get it done.

Anybody in a position to contribute can use the PayPal donation button on the sidebar of this site. I want to thank all my readers for supporting This Date In History, please keep the wonderful feedback and discussions coming.
