On Saturday, I am offering a full-day seminar on Uranus, covering natal placements, synastry, and transits/events, drawing for a study of over 300 notable nativities. Andrew will be speaking on the inner planets on Sunday.

My new (and first) book, URANU.S.A. is now available in ebook format.

URANU.S.A. covers the three periods in American history that coincide with the seven-year passage of the planet Uranus through tropical Gemini, which occurs once every eighty-four years. These periods happen to include the American Revolution, the American Civil War, and U.S. participation in World War II.

The book examines the story and astrology behind crucial events and the lives of central figures from these three periods, including Thomas Paine, George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Franklin Roosevelt, John F. Kennedy, and others.

From the introduction:

“Uranus was found by William and Caroline Herschel, using a telescope in Bath, England, on the night of March 13, 1781 – 220 days before the British surrender at Yorktown, and 352 days before British parliament voted to end the war against the American colonies.

“The new country that emerged from revolution became what is today the oldest democratic republic in the world, a concept of government then unknown in European societies since Ancient Rome.

“The new planet was the first new orbiting body ever found in our solar system. Until the discovery of Uranus, Saturn had always marked the outermost known wandering perimeter of our universe.”

Not to be immodest, but it has to be among the top three finest non-fiction graphic novels on American history ever written by a Canadian astrologer, if I do say so myself. A fun read for astrology enthusiasts and haters alike. Dig in.
